Rajuk school top for 4th time

DHAKA: Rajuk Uttara Model School and College in the capital ranked number- one for the fourth time in the country with 508 students having attained the GPA-5 in the Secondary School Certificate examinations. 

All 515 students of the school passed the exams, with as many as 508 attaining the maximum of GPA-5. 

In bangla medium, all 288 students of Science Group secured GPA-5, 32 students out of 33 from Commerce Group got GPA-5.

In English Medium, 173 students out of 179 from Science Group attained GPA-5 while all 15 students from commerce group passed with GPA-5.

Brigadier General Enamul Huda, principal of Rajuk Uttara Model School and College, confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The results of this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations were published on Saturday morning with overall pass percentage of 91.34 which is 2.31 percent higher than last year’s. 

A total of 1,42,276 students had secured GPA-5.

Among the eight general boards, Rajshahi board topped the list in pass percentage, showing 96.34 percent success.  Dinajpur 93.26 percent pass, Dhaka 93.98, Sylhet Board posted 89.23, Chittagong 91.40, Comilla 89.92, Jessore 92.19, and Barisal 90.66.

This year, a total of 14,26,923 students under 10 educational boards took part in the examinations from 27,489 institutions and 13,00,331 students passed.
