DHAKA: The results of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations in 2014 are set to be published on Wednesday.
The results under eight general education, vocational and madrasa boards are scheduled to be released subsequently on 1:30am on the day.
Education Ministry’s deputy-chief information officer Subodh Chandra Dhali told banglanews, “Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid, accompanied by the chairmen of all the education boards, will hand over the copies of the result to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganobhaban in the city 10:00am.
Then the premier will hold video conference with students of several institutions there.
The minister will unveil the results at a press briefing at the conference room of the education ministry at Secretariat 1:00am, Dhali added.
Results
All the examination centers and educational institutions have been asked to use their respective EIIN numbers to download the results through the webmail available at www.educationboard.gov.bd.
The results will be available at www.educationboardresults.gov.bd and at the websites of the education boards concerned following the unveiling of the results from 1:30pm.
Candidates can also get the result by sending SMS to 16222 typing 'HSC' followed by a space then first 3 letters of the respective education board another space then roll number followed by space again then '2014'.For example: hsc>dha>123456>2014 and send to 16222.
Determining the top
This year, five parameters – percentage of regular students passing the exam, percentage of passing students, percentage of students getting GPA-5, number of examinees and the average GPA of the institutions – will be used to determine top educational institutions in each board.
No results will be available at Education Ministry, education boards and newspapers offices.
A total of 1,141,374 students from 10 education boards appeared in the examinations this year started on April 3 and ended on June 8 across the country.
