CHITTAGONG: The authorities of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) will resume its activities on August 3 after an indefinite strike following an infighting of Bangladesh Chhatra League.
The decision came from a meeting at Administrative Building on Thursday morning.
Vice-Chancellor of the university Dr M Jahangir Alam presided over the meeting.
Pro VC, Deans of several faculties, Heads of different departments, Directors and Registrar were among others present at the meeting.
Public Relations Officer (PRO) Fazlur Rahman of CUET said the classes and examinations would be resumed from August 3 and the residential halls would remain open from August 1.
Earlier, on Monday, Chhatra League joint convener of the university Shamim Talha Jim was chopped over internal clash.
Later, critically injured Shamim Talha Jim was admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
The authorities declared the university closed following the incident on Tuesday.
