3 JU students expelled for life for ragging

JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY: Jahangirnagar University authority expels three female students for life for torturing a junior girl physically in the name of ragging.

The expelled students are- Sami Rejwana, Sabrina Aktar Nitu and Rafia, all the students were from 42nd batch of marketing department.

The decision was taken in a syndicate meeting at the university on Wednesday night.

The three students tortured a student of batch 43rd in her room at newly made student’s hostel Sheikh Hasina Hall.

Later, the victim complained to Vice-Chancellor and then on Wednesday the committee suggested for Exemplary punishment.

Sheikh Hasina Hall Provost Professor Farid Ahmed confirmed the matter to banglanews.
