DHAKA: The Primary Terminal Examinations-2014 for class V students of general and madrasa education will begin on November 23.
National Steering Committee of Primary and Mass Education Ministry took the decision on Sunday.
Rabindranath Roy, Public Relations Officer of Primary and Mass Education Ministry, said the exam would be held from 11:00am to 1:30pm but the handicrafts would get extra 20 minutes and its fee has been allocated Tk 60.
A total of 31 lakh of class V students will sit for the examination this year.
The results might be published on December 28 and the certificates would be given on January 20 next year.
For the first time security tap would be used in stead of seal.
The Primary Terminal Examinations was introduced from 2009 and Ebtadayee exams from 2010.
Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman Fizar, secretary Kazi Akhter Hossain and Director General of Primary Education Department Shyamal Kanti Ghosh were among others were present at the meeting.
Schedule of Primary Terminal Examinations:
English - November 23, Bangla - November 24, Bangladesh and Bishya Parichay - November 25, General Science - November 26, Religion and Moral Education - November 27 and Math -November 30.
