DHAKA: Rajuk Uttara Model School and College in the capital ranked number No. 1 for the fourth time in the country with cent percent student passed in the Higher Secondary Certificate examinations in 2014.

The results of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations have been published Wednesday with an overall pass percentage of 78.33, which is 4.03% higher than the previous year.
This year's results also witnessed a rise of GPA-5 scorers, with a total of 70,602 students achieving the highest grade. In 2013, the number of GPA-5 scorers was 58,197students
Among the country's 10 education boards, Madrasa Board topped the list in pass percentage, showing 94.08% success while 85.02% students have passed in the Technical Education Board.
Besides 84.54% students have passed in Dhaka Board while 78.55% in Rajshahi, 70.14% in Comilla, 79.16% in Sylhet, 71.75% in Barisal, 74.14% in Dinajpur, 70.06% in Chittagong and 60.85% in Jessore board.
A total of 57,789 achieved GPA-5 in eight general education boards, 38,747 in madrasa board while the figure of the vocational board could not be known.
84.54% male students have passed with 38,787 gaining GPA-5 while 78.86% female students have passed with 31,815 achieving GPA-5.
