DHAKA UNIVERSITY (DU): Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu termed those autocrats who do not want policy.
“Policy is not a law, it is a direction. When we did reform some old things must be removed. So, all should be adopt with the news one,” he said.
The minister made the remarks while addressing a round-table meet titled “Bangladesh Film Policy Outline” in Dhaka University’s Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban on Wednesday.
The meeting was organized by Film and TV studies department of the university.
The programme was presided over by the department’s chairman AJM Shafiul Alam Bhuiya while DU vice-chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique was present as chief guest.
Hasanul Haque Inu said, “The film should be non-communal and free from exhaustion and obscenity. It will be historical, entertaining and debatable.”
The minister also said to made sound entertainment film to create democratic mind.
He asked the students to make film through digital system which will fulfill the demand of 35 crore Bengalis including Bangladeshis.
He also hoped that the capital, Dhaka, will be the cultural city of the Bengalis through skillful and creative works.
