Dhaka: The new national education policy will be placed for its final approval in tomorrow’s (Monday) cabinet meeting, the Education Minister said Sunday.
He told banglanews24.com.bd that the policy would be placed before parliament following the cabinet’s approval, after holding back for nine months for various reasons after the submission of the draft.
“The education policy this time around will be a national education policy, irrespective of party and opinion,” he said.
Earlier, on April 8, the national education policy formulation committee was formed, led by national professor Kabir Chowdhury.
The opposition BNP has long protested the policy, out of fears that it has a secular and partisan bias.
