BARISAL: The first year honours admission tests for 2014-15 academic session at Barisal University (BU) will be held on October 18.

The tests of ‘Ka’ and ‘Kha’ units will start at 9:00am while ‘Ga’ unit at 12:00pm, and ‘Gha’ unit at 3:00pm on the day.

Some 32,372 candidates applied against 1,300 seats which mean total 25 admission seekers will fight for each seat of the University this year.

On the other hand, BU Public Relations Officer Faisal Mahmud Rumi said that two new departments have opened in this session.
