DHAKA: The Primary School Certificate (PSC) and equivalent Ebtedayee Terminal Examinations-2014 will begin at 6,791 centers across the country simultaneously and 11 centers abroad.
A total of 3,094,265 students are taking part in the examinations this year.
Some 2,788,544 students have registered for tests--1,506,465 female and 1,282,079 male. Some 305,721 madrasa students have registered for the tests--157,448 are male and 148,273 are female.
This year, more 215,222 female students have registered for the tests than that of the male students.
Director General of Directorate of Primary Education Alamgir Hossain told banglanews that all-out preparation is set to hold the test, seeking cooperation from all.
Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman Fizar is secluded to visit at Viqarunnisa Noon School and College center in the city’s Ramna area at 10:00am on Sunday.
On Thursday, the minister held a press conferences in the city’s Secretariat to brief the details on the tests.
Fizar said print of question papers was completed and the papers have already been sent to the districts and upazilas.
The papers will be taken to the test centers maintaining all-out security arrangement on the days the examinations, he added.
Fizar said question papers will be sent to 367 remote test centers under special security arrangement.
Although the question paper was printed from Bangladesh Government Press (BG press) this year but it will be conducted through digital method from 2015, added the minister.
Exams Schedule
The test will start at 11:00am and continue till 1:30pm. Physically-challenged students will get extra 20 minutes during the test.
Earlier, the national steering committee for Primary and Ebtedayee examinations finalized the routine.
According to the routine, the English examination of PSC will be held on Sunday (November 23) while the Bangla on Monday (November 24), the Bangladesh & Bishya Parichay on Tuesday (November 25), the General Science on Wednesday (November 26), Religion & Moral Education on Thursday (November 27) and the Mathematics will be held on Sunday (November 30).
The English examination of Ebtedayee will also be held on Sunday (November 23) while the Bangla on Monday (November 24), the Paribesh Parichity Samaj/Bigyan on Tuesday (November 25), the Arabic on Wednesday (November 26), Quran & Tajbid and Akaidh & Fikah on Thursday (November 27) and the Mathematics will be held on Sunday (November 30).
The possible date of publishing the test result is 28 December, 2014 while the passed students are likely to receive their certificates from January 20, 2015.
The PSC examinations started from 2009 while the Ebtedayee began in 2010.
