DHAKA: The Primary and Ebtedayee Terminal Examinations-2014 have begun at 6,791 centres across the country Sunday.
A total of 2,788,544 students from schools and 305,721 from madrasahs are taking part in the examinations.
The examination will continue till 1:30pm simultaneously while physically-challenged students will get extra 20 minutes.
The Primary terminal examination, also the largest public examination, where class five students of all schools and madrasas have to sit, will continue till November 30.
However, Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman Fizar has already visited the Viqarunnisa Noon School and College center in city’s Ramna area after the exam began.
Exams Schedule
According to the routine, after the English examination of Sunday (November 23), the Bangla will be held on on Monday (November 24), the Bangladesh & Bishya Parichay on Tuesday (November 25), the General Science on Wednesday (November 26), Religion & Moral Education on Thursday (November 27) and the Mathematics will be held on Sunday (November 30).
The Bangla of Ibtedayee will also be held on Monday (November 24), the Paribesh Parichity Samaj/Bigyan on Tuesday (November 25), the Arabic on Wednesday (November 26), Quran & Tajbid and Akaidh & Fikah on Thursday (November 27) and the Mathematics will be held on Sunday (November 30).
The possible date of publishing the result is December 28, 2014 while the passed students are likely to receive their certificates from January 20, 2015.
The PSC examinations started from 2009 while the Ebtedayee began in 2010.
