DHAKA: The results of the 28th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations were finally published Thursday, with 2,190 candidates qualifying for various government cadre jobs and another 5,105 for non-cadre services.
The results are available on the website of the PSC www.bpsc.gov.bd
The government recruiting body took one and a half years to give the results. In the meantime, the 29th BCS was held and the candidates are waiting their turn.
Over a lakh candidates appeared in the preliminary exams on Nov 28, 2008 against 1,720 posts in different cadres.
Of the total successful cadres, 190 are in BCS Administration, 9 in audit and account, 11 in Ansar, 29 in Customs, 1 in Cooperatives, 5 in Food, 15 in Foreign, 5 in Family Planning, 87 in Information, 7 in Postal, 189 in Police, 3 in Railway, 46 in taxation, 4 in Commerce and 46 in economic under general cadres.
