CHITTAGONG: Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL)-controlled Varsity Express (VEx) group postponed the blockade for two days for the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi and its founding anniversary.
Former organizing secretary Ariful Islam of the university Chhatra League confirmed the matter to banglanews on Saturday afternoon.
He said the blockade program has been postponed for the festivals. But the program will be resumed from Tuesday if their six points demand do not fulfilled.
Earlier, the faction of Chittagong University unit BCL were observing blockade on the campus since Saturday morning, pressing for their six-point demands including trial of Tapas murder.
The protesters other demands include-- ensuring the stay of BCL activists at the university dormitories, releasing the previously detained BCL men, and withdrawing false arms and killing cases filed against BCL leaders and activists.
Taposh was shot dead in a BCL factional clash on the campus on December 14 during placing floral wreath at Srimti Soudho at CU.
