RANGPUR: At least seven people were injured including the vice-chancellor (VC) of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) as the members of teachers association attacked them on Tuesday centering a discussion on Victory Day.
The university public relations officer (PRO) Mohammad Ali said that the members of teachers association snatched mike and threw bricks and chips aiming the stage, while the VC of BRUR Dr AKM Nur-un-Nabi was giving his speech around 12:30pm.
At least seven people were injured including the VC and Assistant Register of the university.
However, police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
