DHAKA: The question papers for Primary teacher recruitment will be printed just an hour before the examination aimed at averting questionnaire leakage.
M Alamgir, Director General of Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) disclosed the latest decision of Primary and Mass Education Ministry.
He said: “The initiative has been taken to avoid probable leakage of question papers and also to minimize the cost.”
Amid huge allegations of leakage of questions for PSC and ebtedayi exams, Primary and Mass Education Ministry formed a committee comprising of information technology experts of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
The committee later finalized the system of speedy making of question papers and distribution digitally.
Primary and Mass Education Ministry and Directorate of Primary Education informed banglanews that 10 sets of question papers will be prepared and sent to Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) office before three or four hours of test through computer network with onetime password.
Before mentioned period, the questionnaire would not be downloaded sans two separate passwords, they added.
DC office will download and print the papers and send those to exam centers concerned one hour before the exam.
DPE Director General M Alamgir told banglanews that total process of download and printing will be monitored by Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) so that there will be no chance of question paper leakage.
In traditional system, question papers are printed in BG Press and then sent to exam centers packing in trunks with police escort along with magistrate.
He added: “In digital method, the exams will be held in divisions in separate days.”
Transport and security costs will be lessen if question papers are prepared and sent in digital method, he said.
Before the final execution of the decision, a test-run will be held, the DG said.
Government Primary Assistant Teacher Recruitment circular 2015 under third Primary Development Program (PEDP-3) were published on December 10, 2014 for recruiting 16,000 teachers.
Besides, 10,000 teachers will also be appointed in government primary schools under the circular published on September 15, last year.
The two tests will be held soon within a week gap, said M Alamgir, Director General of DPE to banglanews.
