DHAKA: The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations, scheduled to be held on Thursday (February 12), have been postponed due unavoidable circumstances.
“We have decided to postpone the examinations as the BNP-led 20-party alliance did not withdraw the hartal despite our repeated request,” said Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid.
He was briefing journalists at his secretariat office on Wednesday afternoon.
He also said, new date for the slated examinations would be announced later.
Nurul Islam Nahid also told the journalists: “We will announce the date of the examinations later and we hope that 20-party alliance will withdraw hartal for the sake of the examinees.”
