DHAKA: The Supreme Court on Thursday upheld the High Court order that allows five percent freedom fighter quota in medical admission tests for the session 2013-14 as per decision of the University Grants Commission (UGC).
The Appellate Division led-by chief justice Surendra Kumar Sinha rejected the appeal of the state challenging the HC directive.
Former Justice Sikder Maqbul Haque said, with this dismissal, students will enjoy five percent freedom fighter quota in medical college admission tests.
