DHAKA: The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations, scheduled for Sunday (February 15), have been shifted to February 20 due to hartal enforced by BNP-led 20-party alliance from Sunday morning.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid made the disclosure in a press briefing at his secretariat office on Saturday afternoon.
He said the examinations would be held from 9:00am Friday due to Jum’a prayer.
The examinations have been rescheduled following 72-hour countrywide hartal starting from Sunday dawn.
Nahid said the decision to shift the examinations has been taken considering the security of the examinees.
