DHAKA: A weeklong curriculum integration event for Spring Semester, 2015 is scheduled to begin at University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) on Saturday (April 4), says a press release.
Media Studies and Journalism (MJS) Department of the university has arranged the event titled “The Power of Positive Deviance”, which will be closed on April 9.
The event will feature exhibitions and presentations of digital art, wall art, photography, films, animation, news analysis, communication campaign plans and various student productions, the release added.
At every semester, 16 courses from the MSJ department, participate in the Curriculum Integration Event, where students from each course create a final project based on the given theme.
This is also an initiative to strengthen links with parents and external stakeholders and allow them to enjoy the final productions of the students.
The event highlights the concept of Positive Deviance – an asset-based, problem-solving, and community-driven approach that enables the community to discover these successful behavior and strategies and develop a plan of action to promote their adoption by all concerned.
