DHAKA: Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Monday categorically said there would be no change in the schedule of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations, set to begin April 1.
While talking to banglanews24, the minister, over cell phone said though the ministry brought changes in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations, there will not be any change in HSC exam schedule.
Mentioning that the effect of hartal and ongoing indefinite blockade, called by BNP-led 20-party alliance, has dissipated, Nahid said “educational institutions have been taking classes, vehicles are plying”.
Requesting everyone to help the government, he urged the examination candidates not to be worried about so-called hartal and blockade.
“We will take examinations as per schedule and do not want to consider hartal-blockade. We need everyone’s help,” he added.
The theoretical examinations of 285 subjects of HSC will be held from April 1 to June 11 and the practical examinations have to be complete between June 13 and June 22.
However, the theoretical examinations of 368 subjects of SSC, scheduled from February 2, were rescheduled due to the BNP-alliance enforced hartal-blockade.
