BAU (MYMENSINGH): Forty eight teachers of Bangladesh Agricultural University have resigned from their administrative posts demanding the step-down of its vice-chancellor Professor Dr Rafiqul Haque.
The teachers submitted their resignation papers to the university registrar Abdul Khaleque, who confirmed the matter to banglanews on Tuesday.
He said that following the previous decision, 48 teachers submitted the resignation papers leaving their respective posts in the university administration.
The papers were forwarded to the vice-chancellor but any official decision has yet to be made, the registrar added.
Earlier on Monday, it was said that about 80 teachers will resign from their administrative posts. Forty eight among them submitted the resignation.
