RANGPUR: Rangpur Medical College (RMC) will be reopened on Saturday after a 10-day shut down following Chhatra League infighting.
All the residential students were asked to reach their dormitories on Friday.
The decision came at a meeting of the Academic Council with RMC principal Professor Dr Zakir Hossain in the chair.
Prof Dr Zakir Hossain said that as normalcy is prevailing on the college campus, the Academic Council decided to reopen the college on Saturday.
The classes and the examinations will start from Saturday. The students will have to show identity cards during their entry into the dormitories, said Prof Dr Zakir Hoaasin.
Earlier on April 15, the authorities closed Rangpur Medical College (RMC) for indefinite period following Chhatra League infighting.
The announcement came after supporters of Rafique and Ferdous groups had locked into sporadic clashes centering establishing supremacy in hall, leaving at least ten injured from both sides.
The residential students were asked to leave the dormitories on April 16.
