DHAKA: National University (NU) announced that honors admission test for the students of 2015-16 education year will be held on October 1.
The decision was taken at an academic council meeting of the university on Monday.
According to the decision, classes for the honors students will start on December 1.
Moreover, the first convocation of the university is set to be held sometime in November or December next year.
The university also decided to introduce a one-and-a-half-year special Masters degree titled ‘Masters of Advanced Studies in Library and Information Science’ on its campus in Gazipur.
NU pro vice-chancellors Dr Aslam Bhuiyan and Dr Munaj Ahmed Noor, treasurer Noman ur Rashid and deans of different faculties attended the council meeting, chaired by vice-chancellor Dr Harun-or-Rashid.
Principals of several colleges also attended the meeting.
