DHAKA: Newly appointed vice-chancellor of Barisal University (BU) SM Enamul Haque, professor of Soil, Water and Environmental Science Department at Dhaka University (DU), joined his new workplace on Sunday.

He was flown to Barisal from Dhaka around 11:45pm and joined a view exchange meeting with al teachers, including 18 head of departments, at VC office around 12:30pm.

The VC also exchanged views with officials-staffs of the varsity around 2:30pm.

On May 24, the Education Ministry issued a circular regarding the appointment of Professor Enamul Haque as the VC of BU for the next four years.
