DHAKA: Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said all educational institutions will contain multimedia classrooms soon by the blessing of technology.
The minister came up with this assertion while speaking as chief guest at a program on the third anniversary of multimedia classroom at Kabari Hall in Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in city Tuesday afternoon.
Access to Information (A2I) organized the program.
Nahid put importance on the enhancement of the quality of education as well as the up-gradation of the quality of teachers.
According to the minister, a small section of teachers is responsible for creating scandal and they will face actions.
He also assured the audience that the government will provide tablet PC to all students to lessen the load of books.
Primary and Mass Education Minister Advocate Mostafizur Rahman also expressed hope that all classrooms of schools and colleges will be multimedia classrooms.
Earlier on May 20 in 2012, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the multimedia classroom project.
A total of 23,331 multimedia classrooms in secondary and higher secondary institutions and 4,500 in primary and mass educational institutions have been set up in the country.
Moreover, the government has trained 80,000 teachers and trainers on the concept of multimedia classroom and digital content.
