DHAKA: Malaysian education businesswoman Jess Lee has been passing busy days in Bangladesh as he came here to collect students for Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL).
But, two student consultancy firms -- Eduzone and Bangladesh Malaysia Study Center Ltd (BMSCL) -- publicized that Jess Lee will help students in spot admission at their Uttara and Farmgate offices in city from 10:00am to 5:00pm on Thursday.
This has raised questions where would she go.
Jess Lee works as International Marketing Manager of Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL), a provate university, situated at Kajang, Selangor.
She came to Bangladesh several times in the past. Consultancy firms in Dhaka help this lady collecting students and receive commission of Tk 100,000-150,000 per student from the university.
The educationists of the country, however, said that the quality of education in the first ranked private universities in the country is better than the private universities of Malaysia.
Besides, there is almost no example of getting better jobs in the country with the degrees achieved from Malaysian universities.
The educationists also lamented that brokers of Malaysian universities are still doing business in the country without hindrances and no one is observing the situation.
