Govt pry headmasters threaten indefinite work abstention

DHAKA: Association of headmasters of government primary schools has announced fresh movement of work abstention to press their 5-point demands.

The indefinite work abstention will be observed from October 6, if the demands of headmasters of government primary schools are not met within September 30.

The demands include the implementation of the grade-2 gazetted official status for head teachers of primary schools and inclusion of them to the 10th grade in national pay scale.

The announcement came from a press conference, held at National Press Club auditorium on Sunday morning.

The organized also urged the Prime Minister and the committee formed to remove the salary discrimination in the pay scale to meet their demands.
