DHAKA: Students, who are demanding fresh admission tests for medical and dental colleges, have announced new protest programs for Thursday.
The program was announced from the premises of Central Shahid Minar in city.
On behalf of the protesting students Khaled Saifullah said, ‘We tried to go to Heath Directorate to show the evidences of medical admission question paper leak. But police attacked on us leaving at least seven students injured’.
‘We will arrange a sit-in program on Shahid Minar premises as a protest of police attack. The protest program will continue until our demand of fresh admission test for medical and dental colleges is met,’ he added.
However, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Ramna Division deputy commissioner (DC) Abdul Baten denied the allegation of baton charge on the students.
