DHAKA: Teachers of the primary schools have announced the withdrawal of their protest movements after a meeting with primary and mass education minister Mostafizur Rahman.
The 1-hour close-door meeting was held at minister’s Mintoo Road residence in city on Thursday morning following the threat of him.
Earlier, the primary school teachers observed work abstention to press their 6-point demands including the removal of salary discrimination.
Primary school teachers’ association president Shahinur Al Amin told banglanews that the minister has given them an assurance of taking measures in meeting their demands.
Primary and mass education minister Mostafizur Rahman told banglanews that the matter to remove salary discrimination will be placed to the national committee for consideration.
