DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina called upon authorities concerned to enroll the children in their respective areas without any admission test.
She came up with the urge while addressing the inaugural program of "Shishu Adhikar Saptaha-2015" at Bangladesh Shishu Academy in city on Sunday.
The premier said, “We have to educate our children for the sake of nation’s development. However, in order to study, overloading them with a pile of books is not acceptable. But imposition of pressure asking them read, read and read all the time is to avoid. They have to provide facilities to play games”.
During the time, Sheikh Hasina recalled her childhood memories saying, “We were also asked to read all the time, we felt bad”.
Mentioning that the government is working to ensure the rights of children, the Prime Minister said, “Each child will be enrolled in school. They will get the opportunity to develop their latent talent. Such opportunities have to be created for them”.
“No single child will be dropped out. We do not want that the children roaming on the streets,” she added.
