DHAKA: Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Friday said that new educational policy will be composed to keep pace with the world.
The minister came up with the assertions while addressing an awareness raising debate competition on ‘social devolution rather than the lack of good governance is the main reason of torturing children’.
Debate for Democracy organized the program as part of marking the “Shishu Adhikar Saptaha-2015” at Bangladesh Shishu Academy auditorium.
Bajrayogini JK High School and Adamjee Cantonment College participated in the debate competition.
He said today’s children are future leaders of the country. This is why our educational system should be world class.
Debate for Democracy chairman Hasan Ahmed Chowdhury Kiron presided over the program.
Gender specialist Sheepa Hafiza, Principal of St Joseph Higher Secondary School Brother Robi Purification CSC, Girl Child Advocacy Forum Secretary Nasima Akhter Jolly and Bangladesh Shishu Academy director Mosharraf Hossain also addressed the program.
