DHAKA: Eastern University has received an award from One Asia Foundation and the award will allow Eastern University to offer a course titled “Path to One Asia”.
Renowned Asian scholars will visit the Eastern University campus to teach various aspects of creating and promoting a joint Asian Community.
The course is being offered starting January 2016 and it is open to anyone with a HSC or equivalent degree.
Moreover, scholarships may be available to register for this course.
Government and NGO officials are also welcome.
It is also expected that Japanese business tycoon, Yoji Sato, the President of One Asia Foundation, will address the students and dignitaries on the concluding day of the program.
The course will offer an opportunity for all participants to gain a better appreciation of the similarities and commonalities of various Asian cultures, common objectives of growth and developing better ties with each other.
With an enhanced mutual understanding of the practices, desires and prospects of the cultures, this course will pave the way for continuous growth of Asia, peace, pride in heritage, and maximize the potential of Asia in general, said a press release.
