DHAKA: Primary and Mass Education Minister Advocate Mostafizur Rahman on Monday disclosed that the government has taken an initiative to expand the range of primary education upto Class-VIII from 2018 onwards.
The minister came up with the disclosure in response to a question by Manikganj-2 lawmaker Mamtaj Begum at the Parliament in the afternoon.
He also informed the House that keeping the project in mind, the government has introduced Class-VI in 491 primary schools around the country in 2013 and in 175 schools in 2014.
“The government has been working to cover rest of the primary schools by 2018,” he added.
