DHAKA: Department of Economics organized first seminar on “Socio-economic Development: Bangladesh Perspective” at Hamdard University, Bangladesh (HUB) auditorium on November 26.
A press released said, HUB Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Tanvir Ahmed Khan was chief guest of the seminar while key note speakers were Rakibul Hasan, Khandokar Monjurei Kabir and Imam Hossain (lecturer Department of Economics), Presided by Prof. Dr. Zahurul Alam (Head, Department of Economics, HUB).
The discussants were Prof. Dr. Md. Sadirul Islam (Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences), Prof. Dr. Md. Nasim Anjum (Dean, Faculty of Business Administration), Md. Lutfur Rahman (Registrar, HUB) & Md. Rafiqul Islam (treasurer, HUB).
In the seminar keynote speakers showed their different findings on socio-economic development of Bangladesh. Speakers said that maximum socio-economic indicators will achieve vision 2021 target by 2021 that sets by the present government if political stability exists until 2021.
