DHAKA: Teachers of schools and colleges under the government’s MPO (monthly pay order) coverage will get their enhanced salary as per eighth national pay scale from July 1.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid made the disclosure to journalists at his secretariat office Sunday.

Teachers and staffs of non-government educational institutions had been staging protest demanding inclusion in 8th pay scale.
