98.52% pass in PEC, 92.33 % in JSC

98.52% pass in PEC, 92.33 % in JSC

DHAKA: As many as 98.52 percent students have passed in the Primary Education Completion (PEC) and Ebtedayee examinations this year.

Besides, 92.31 percent of students in the Junior School Certificate (JSC) and 92.46 percent in the Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations have passed this year.

Primary & mass education minister Mostafizur Rahman in a press briefing at secretariat said that among the PEC examinees, 98.74 percent passed in Dhaka Division while 99 percent in Rajshahi, 98.97 percent in Khulna, 98.41 percent in Chittagong, 98.30 percent in Barisal, 96.79 in Sylhet and 98.56 percent in Rangpur.

A sum of 275,980 students have secured GPA-5 in primary education.

In Ebtedayee, 94.21 percent passed in Dhaka while 97.88 % in Rajshahi, 96.22 percent in Khulna, 93.93 percent in Chittagong, 97.85 percent in Barisal, 90.01 percent in Sylhet and 97.21 percent in Rangpur.

Some 5,473 students got GPA-5 in Ibtedayee this year.

In JSC examination, a sum of 2,098,082 students out of 2,272,289 examinees have passed this year.

Of them, 85.48 percent passed in 90.39 percent in Dhaka Board, while  Chittagong Board, 93.59 percent in Sylhet board, and 92.51 percent in Comilla board, 97.47 percent in Rajshahi, 95.44 percent in Jessore board 97.26 percent in Barisal, and 91.52 percent in Dinajpur.

1,96, 263 students have secured GPA-5 in JSC examination while 8,761 got GPA-5 in JDC.

Earlier, Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid and primary & mass education minister Mostafizur Rahman handed over the results to the premier at her government residence, Ganabhaban, around 10:00am.

Later, primary & mass education minister Mostafizur Rahman will publish the results of PSC in a press briefing at secretariat in city around 12:00pm.

After the press briefing, students will be able to learn their results through mobile phone and internet.

The sites where results of PSC and Ibtedayee will be available are: www.dpe.gov.bd and http://www.teletalk.com.bd.

Besides, the students can type DPE<>Thana/Upazila Code<>Roll<>2015 and send to 16222 to get the results of PSC.

Ibtedayee results can be get by typing EBT<>Thana/Upazila Code<>Roll<>2015 and send to 16222.

Students can get their JSC and JDC results from the site www.educationboardresults.gov.bd.
