DHAKA: The Federation of Bangladesh University Teachers’ Association (FBUTA) on Tuesday urged Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to investigate the reasons behind the teacher’s dissatisfaction.
FBUTA and DU Teachers’ Association president Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed made the request on the second day of federation’s continuous work abstention.
In response to a question about the reason of teachers’ dissatisfaction despite pay rise, Professor Farid said, “May be somebody has misled her (PM) or not giving her correct information”.
“I am urging the premier to investigate the reason behind the dissatisfactions of the teachers,” he added.
He also urged to find a quick solution of this issue by discussing with the teachers.
Teachers’ of all 37 public universities have been continuing their strike for the second day demanding fulfilling the promises and removing inconsistencies from the 8th national wage structure.
