DHAKA: Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid remarked that the discussions with the protesting teachers have made a progress.
Earlier this afternoon, the minister and leaders of protesting public university teachers talked about the ongoing demonstration to press their demands of abolishing discrimination in national pay scale and uphold their designation.
He came up with this assertion after meeting the leaders of Federation of Bangladesh University Teachers’ Association (FBUTA) at secretariat in city on the second consecutive day of the protest on Tuesday (January 12).
The discussion was fruitful and a progress has been made in the one-hour meeting from 4:25pm with the leaders, the minister opined.
