DHAKA: The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations for 2016 has begun on Monday (February 1).
As many as 1,651,523 examinees are taking part in the examination this year.
Of them, 1,304,274 are taking part in SSC under eight boards, 248,865 students in Dakhil under Madrasa Board and 98,384 students in SSC (Vocational) examinations.
Students will have to answer the multiple choice questions (MCQ) first, followed by the creative or written part this year.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has changed the venue of Monday’s Cabinet meeting to help students reach their exam centres without facing traffic jams here in city.
The meeting will be held at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) instead of the Secretariat.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid is scheduled to visit Tejgaon Government Girls’ High School after the tests begin at 10:00 in the morning.
