DHAKA: Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid categorically said there is no scope of leaking question papers in the ongoing Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations.
The minister made this assertion to the media during his visit to city’s Tejgaon Government Girls School on Monday (February 1), the first day of SSC and its equivalent examinations.
He also requested the students and guardians not to pay heed to the rumors regarding question paper leak.
‘Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) will take necessary steps if anyone tries to circulate false questions through Facebook.’
Education secretary Mohammad Sohrab Hossain, secondary and higher secondary education directorate director general Professor Fahima Khatun and other ministry officials accompanied the minister during the visit.
However, as many as 1,651,523 examinees are taking part in this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations beginning Monday (February 1).
Of them, 1,304,274 are taking part in SSC under eight boards, 248,865 students in Dakhil under Madrasa Board and 98,384 students in SSC (Vocational) examinations.
