State University fined

DHAKA: A mobile court of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) has fined State University of Bangladesh a sum of Tk 3-lakh for setting up office at ground floor garage.

A team lead by the executive magistrate of RAJUK conducted this operation in Kolabagan area in city on Monday (February 8).

The office of this private university has been set up at the garage of the university building.

Hence, the vehicles of varsity have been parked on the space of the footpath. Noticing the matter, RAJUK mobile court fined State University a sum Tk 3-lakh.
 
However, the court has also fined MK Electronics an amount of Tk 1 lakh as the organization failed to produce the required documents of RAJUK’s approval to set up the garage.

RAJUK executive magistrate Md Nasir Uddin told banglanews, “We have started eviction operation from Kalabagan area from 11am Monday. During the operation, State University has been fined Tk 3-lakh for parking vehicles on footpath while MK Electronics was fined Tk 1 lakh for failing to produce proper documents of the garage”.
