DHAKA: All public universities in the country will arrange anti-militancy human chain program on their respective campuses on August 1.
The decision was taken at a view exchange meeting of vice chancellors of public universities at International Mother Language Institute auditorium in city on Saturday afternoon (July 23).
Home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal was present as chief guest at the meeting, chaired by education minister Nurul Islam Nahid.
After the meeting, University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman Professor Abdul Mannan said the anti-militancy human chain program will be arranged at all public universities in the country on August 1.
The organizers will also pay tribute to the victims of Gulshan and Sholakia terror attacks, he added.
