DHAKA: Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Thursday (August 18) said the results of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations in 2016 were better in every index than the previous year.

The indices include the number of candidates, passed students and GPA-5 holders, rate of pass, and number of institutions from where students got GPA-5.

The minister was addressing a press briefing after publishing the results of HSC and equivalent examinations at his secretariat office in the afternoon.
