5 held over JnU question paper-leaks

JAGANNATH UNIVERSITY: Five examinees have been detained for allegedly leaking the question paper of Jagannath University (JnU) admission test for faculty of science (D-unit) for 2016-17 session.

JnU authority handed over the detainees to the Sutrapur Police on Friday afternoon (October 28).

Sources said, acting on tip-off, they detained the five and handed them over to police. Question paper and answers were also found in their cell phones as evidence.

Responding to the matter of leaks, JnU Vice-chancellor Mijanur Rahman told Banglanew that, it happened because of few corrupt persons. They will be more vigilant in future of taking the examination.

The detainees are identified as Al Mamun, son of Abdul Malek, Rajon Khan, son of Rubel Khan, Mehedi Hasan, son of Mohsin Mia, Hridoy Hasan, son of Shahidullah and Tahmin Islam, son of Al-Islam Kayed.
