DHAKA: Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid remarked that Bangladesh has earned progress in female education among the South Asian countries.
The minister came up with this assertion while talking to media after visiting a JSC examination center at city’s Dhanmondi Government Boys’ High School on Tuesday (November 1).
He said a total of 2,412,775 examinees, including 1,124,373 males and 1,288,402 females, have been appearing in the examinations this year.
The number of female students has marked a rise by 164,029 than 2015, he further said.
The examinations will continue till November 17.
