DHAKA: University Grants Commission (UGC) has cancelled the certificates provided by acting Vice-Chancellors (VCs) of 18 private universities in country.
Moreover, the financial documents such as cheques and insurance papers signed by them also declared illegal.
The organization published a press note in the newspaper regarding this issue on Thursday (November 17).
It asked the students and parents to be cautious while seeking admission into universities.
The UGC also published an updated list in their website comprising names of VC, Pro-VC and treasurers of valid private universities appointed by the President.
The canceled certificates of the universities will be valid after being signed by new VC.
