DHAKA: University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) joined hands in the form of a human chain in front of it’s campus at Dhanmondi from 12:50-1:10pm to collectively raise awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse.
The event was part of a semester long campaign organized by the Student Affairs Office (SAO) which has included seminars, film screenings, distributing flyers and badges, and drug awareness raising booths.
The ULAB SAO believes in educating its students about the risks pertaining to both illicit as well as prescription drugs and encourages the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of the students, said a press release.
ULAB Students, faculty and admin members including acting Vice Chancellor Professor Imran Rahman; Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor H.M. Jahirul Haque; ULAB Board of Trustees member Ms. Juditha Ohlmacher; ULAB Professor Emeritus Rafiqul Islam; Registrar Professor Akhter Ahmed; Treasurer Prof. Milan Kumar Bhattacharjee, Departmental Heads participated in the human chain.
