DHAKA: The results of Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations were published on Thursday (December 29).
The overall rate of pass in the examination around the country was 92.33 percent. A total of 247,588 students secured GPA 5.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over the copies of the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganabhaban around 10:30 am.
The minister said the total number of candidate in JSC and JDC was 2,346,959. Of them, 2,183,975 passed.
All the candidates from 9,450 educational institutions passed in the examination, he added.
The minister also said the rate of passing in JSC examinations alone was 92.89 percent.
Of 1,993,619 candidates in the JSC examinations, 1,851,496 passed this year, Nahid added.
Besides, of 626 candidates, who took part in the examinations from overseas centers, 623 passed.
The minister further the candidates will get the results from their schools and websites of education boards in the afternoon.
