DHAKA: Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Saturday (April 15) asked private universities to go to their own permanent campuses to avoid legal actions, including ban on further enrolment of students.
The minister made the announcement while addressing as chief guest at the 4th convocation program of United International University in Bhatara area in the capital.
“I will be bound to cancel those who will not abide by the rules and regulation…I will not support them anymore,” he added.
Professor Dr Jamilur Reza Choudhury addressed the program as convocation speaker.
University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Abdul Mannan also attended the convocation program.
