DHAKA: Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar stressed the importance of technology in Education.
The Minister was addressing a roundtable titled 'Block Chain in Global Finance System- Bangladesh stance’ held at the office of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) in city’s Kawran Bazar.
The roundtable was organized by E-Generation Limited on Wednesday (January 10).
E-Generation Limited is making Block chain and Artificial Intelligence based digital investment platform for a Dubai-based FinTech Company 'Smart Crowd'.
The Minister said that our education system is much backdated, even though we have made considerable progress in all sectors in terms of use of technology. There is hardly any use of technology in this sector. We could bring about change in it to cope with the modern world.
In such circumstances, our educated folks would be incapable to pursue their career in this digital age if we fail to develop education sector.
The minister said, “We have some extraordinary achievements in the field of information technology. Everyday we exchange millions of Taka in paperless form via Internet, mobile phone, mobile banking. This is a great achievement. But there is no achievement in the education sector. This situation needs to be improved quickly.”
